What is a Certified Quality Salmon?
A Certified Quality Salmon is a product which is traceable to a
stringent product quality specification with regards to freshness,
visual appearance, taste and texture.
These products have been produced
and processed to a comprehensive standard by a certified Company that operates to best industry
practice with regards to food safety, employee and animal welfare
and social responsibility.
The product and process is independently certified by Global Trust Certification, an independent food
quality certification company accredited to the international standard EN45011, the
standard for product certification.
Quality Mark Plus Provenance
The
Certified Quality Salmon Programme can have a distinct quality mark which indicates provenance. The Quality
mark can only be used by Certified Companies.
The Quality mark was
developed to allow customers to easily identify Irish Quality Salmon.
